They say it takes a village—and on Saturday, September 27th from 6pm–9pm, we’re creating one together in Goshen, New York.

Hosted at Margot’s Mercantile in collaboration with Women Who Brunch, The Village We Make is an evening designed for moms to slow down, nurture themselves, and connect with others who understand the unique joys and challenges of motherhood.

170 W. Main Street, Goshen, NY 10924

🌿 An Evening Rooted in Connection

The night begins with a keynote conversation that honors the truths of motherhood and the strength that comes from community:

✨ Keynote: Naming the Truths of Motherhood: Finding Strength Together
with Sarah Emanuel, LCSW – Founder of Sugar Loaf Mental Wellness

Sarah brings over a decade of experience in supporting women, couples, and families through life’s most profound challenges. Her keynote will shine a light on the often-unspoken realities of motherhood while offering pathways to healing, resilience, and solidarity.

From there, we’ll dive into speed friending—a fun, uplifting way to connect with other moms in the room. Whether you’re new to the Hudson Valley or simply looking to deepen your circle, this part of the night promises meaningful conversations, laughter, and maybe even the start of lifelong friendships.

✨ Choose Your Own Adventure: Wellness Experiences

After the keynote and speed friending, the evening opens into hands-on experiences that celebrate self-care, creativity, and connection. Each offering is led by a talented local woman who brings her own unique gifts to the community.

🔮 Tarot Readings with Moníca Kozlik

  • Option to book future astrology/tarot sessions.

📿 DIY Beading Bar with Brooke Desir

  • $10 per jewelry piece
  • A celebration of creativity as a pathway to wellness.

💆 Mini Massage Experiences with Chanelle Marie, LMT

🧵 Needle Felting Workshop with Jenny Torino

An experienced teaching artist, Jenny has spent the last decade guiding others in creative expression through fiber and textiles. In her Needle Felting Workshop, you’ll design your own felted picture—choosing from templates like flowers, mushrooms, or veggies, or creating your own design.

  • Limited to 15 spots / $35 per participant
  • All materials included: felting needle, mat, and embroidery hoop frame to take home.
  • A relaxing, meditative craft experience that sparks joy and creativity.
